Lexington Word Weavers<\/strong> is a chapter of Word Weavers International.<\/strong> Our mission is to best equip writers to glorify God through the written word. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Lexington, we work to fulfill our mission by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

• Actively praying for each other<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Holding monthly critique sessions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Offering writers training, whether our monthly members training or a one-day conferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Sharing information about writing opportunities, conferences, and contests<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Helping connect members with editors, agents, and other publishing professionals<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Building professional knowledge through our website and meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n
• Striving for excellence in such a manner that we are recognized by our professionalism and outstanding work <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

  Who Is Word Weavers International<\/strong>?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  In March 1997, five members of a church in Florida gathered around a dining room table, eager to encourage one another in the art of writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  This small group developed into Word Weavers International, which now has chapters across the United States and into other countries with over 900 members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  Through the use of our unique method of critique, our members have sharpened their skills, found their way to publication in a number of genres and venues, and won awards of excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  What Defines a Word Weaver Critique Group?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Our focus is Christ-centered.<\/span> We behave thusly in our work and in our attitudes and behavior.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • We are professional. With our unique process and format, we show our industry that we take our craft seriously.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • We are encouraging to others. We believe that, having been blessed, we are to be a blessing to others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    About Lexington Word Weavers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Our Lexington chapter seeks to serve writers in the greater Columbia, SC area who want to write for God’s glory. We even have writers from the Augusta, GA area who’ve joined our chapter.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you can get to us, we’d love to serve you. We meet on the 2nd Monday of every month.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    NOTE: <\/strong>The building where we meet is on the opposite side of the parking lot from the main church building. If you’re in the middle of the parking lot with the main church building on your left, look to your right. You’ll see a smaller building by itself. Drive around to the back of the building to park and look for the “Welcome to Lexington Word Weavers” sign on the door. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
